Job summary

A leading food delivery service in Eastleigh seeks a Van Driver for a temp to perm position. You will deliver sandwiches and ready meals in a refrigerated van, starting at 04:30 am and completing your shift by lunchtime. Previous driving experience is preferred, but training will be provided. Strong communication and customer service skills are essential. An element of physical fitness is required to carry delivery crates.

Qualifications

• Previous van driving commercial experience preferred but not essential.
• Training will be provided from day one.
• Ability to handle sandwich crates upon delivery.

Responsibilities

• Drive a 3.5t refrigerated van delivering food to corner shops and petrol stations.
• Follow a set route starting at 04:30 am and finishing by lunchtime.
• Work six days a week with guaranteed overtime.

Job description

Our client based in Eastleigh is the UKs largest provider of take away food to high street retailers.

The position of Van Driver is a temp to perm one where after completing a successful trial period you will be given a full time contract.

Ideally you will need some previous Van driving commercial driving experience but training will be provided from day one.

You will be driving a 3.5t refrigerated Van delivering sandwiches, ready meals to different corner shops or petrol stations around the south coast area.

All drivers will be on a set route

You will be starting early at 04:30 am and be finished by Lunch time.

Working a 6 day week will allow Van drivers to earn a guaranteed 6 hours a week at overtime.

£12.50 per hour applies for the first 42 hours.

You will need good communication skills and customer service skills

Although the goods are not heavy, you will be carrying the sandwich crates into customers so an element of physical fitness is needed.

The Van driving position start immediately.
