The British Library Qatar Foundation Partnership Programme is seeking a passionate, analytical, and experienced Imaging and Digital Products Manager to join our team.

The Programme team consists of approximately 50 members, including Cataloguers, Translators, Conservators, Rights, Workflow, and Imaging experts. Our mission is to digitise British Library holdings related to Qatar and the region, and to produce contextual content published on the Qatar Digital Library in both English and Arabic, which is then delivered to British Library preservation systems.

The role involves overseeing the operational management of our imaging studio and managing six imaging team members. Responsibilities include producing TIFF, JP2, and ALTO files, managing associated metadata, and Submission Information Packages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Manage and lead the imaging team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance.
  • Imaging Operations: Ensure the production of high-quality images that meet British Library and Programme targets, oversee equipment purchase, maintenance, and calibration, and implement best practices.
  • Project Management: Coordinate work streams, manage scheduling and resources, collaborate with other teams for support and error resolution.
