The User Administrator is responsible for managing user accounts, permissions, and access rights across HSE's IT systems. This role ensures compliance with security standards, supports onboarding and offboarding processes, and provides technical assistance for account‑related issues. The position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with the Technology Division, HR, and other divisions.
Responsibilities
- Create, modify, and deactivate user accounts in Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and other enterprise systems.
- Assign and manage user roles and permissions based on job requirements and security policies.
- Conduct regular audits of user accounts and access rights to ensure compliance.
- Remove access for departing employees and keep accurate records of changes.
- Respond to user inquiries and resolve account‑related issues promptly.
- Ensure all assigned incidents and requests are acknowledged and resolved within the defined SLA timelines to maintain compliance and avoid breaches.

Sift and Interview Schedule
- Sift: week commencing 12th January 2026 – assessment on behaviours.
- Interview: week commencing 19th January 2026 – assessment on behaviours and experience.

Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience of User Administration and a thorough understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM) principles.
- Proficiency with Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and other enterprise platforms.
- Attention to detail and accuracy when managing user data.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet SLA deadlines.
- Strong organisational skills and effective liaison with internal teams and end‑users.
- ITIL Foundation Certificate (or willingness to work towards the qualification while in post).
