A leading healthcare provider in Aylesbury is hiring a Service Manager for Urology Services. You will manage daily operations, lead a diverse team, and support successful service initiatives to enhance patient experience. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Service Manager for the Urology Services this role provides operational support and leadership to the services which are based across several hospital sites.
The Service Manager will provide day-to-day operational management support for the Urology Services lead the administration teams as well as support the General manager and Clinicians with project management and service improvement initiatives.
They will also support the development and implementation of projects to improve service delivery and patient experience in key areas and will help to ensure that performance and quality targets are met.
Main duties of the job
In conjunction with the General Manager, SDU Lead, and Matron the post-holder will work across organisational boundaries to ensure appropriate services are in place and to deliver national and local strategic and operational service objective’s and standards.
The Service Manager is responsible for working with the General Manager to ensure the efficient and effective day-to-day running of the Clinical Services and delivering key quality, performance and financial plans, achieving key service improvements within the service and line managing appropriate staff within designated clinical units.
The post-holder is a key member of the Clinical Directorate management team and will develop and implement Directorate plans to secure the agreed objectives for the Clinical Directorate and make a positive contribution to delivery of health care across the local health community.
The post-holder will be responsible for providing timely, efficient and effective operational management support, with the overall aim of ensuring that services are responsive and provided to the highest possible clinical and performance standards.
