Responsibilities

  • Commissioning of large UPS systems.
  • Understand on-line and line-interactive UPS systems.
  • Create commissioning scripts.
  • Carry out site acceptance testing.
  • Use and understand power quality meters.
  • Experience in thermography and reporting.
  • Battery experience - VRLA and Lithium Ion.
  • Set up and configure remote monitoring software.
  • Communicate with key stakeholders on a technical level.
  • Apply anti-static policies and procedures.
  • Apply ECN process to all repairs.

Skills

Three phase electrical installation or maintenance knowledge
Understanding of UPS systems
Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Modbus, SNMP, OPC, DDE, TCP/IP)
Programming of PLC control systems (power control, generator control, SCADA, or process control)

Education

HNC or higher in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or equivalent
