Job description
Unit Manager (Clinical Lead)

Permanent full time 37.5 hours per week for Friends of the Elderly (FotE), a not‑for‑profit charity that has supported older people for over 120 years.

About the Role

You will work in our care homes Davenham, Bradbury Court and Perrins House, which specialise in dementia care, residential and nursing care. Working closely with the General Manager, you will provide professional guidance and leadership to the care and nursing teams, ensuring the highest standards of clinical practice and resident wellbeing.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee care delivery and maintain accurate records
  • Liaise effectively with external healthcare professionals to meet residents’ needs with dignity, respect and sensitivity
  • Deputise for the General Manager when required and support overall service management
  • Conduct incident analysis and complete root‑cause analysis reports, implementing subsequent action plans
  • Ensure compliance with CQC regulations, the Health and Social Care Act and adult safeguarding requirements
  • Communicate clearly with residents, families and external professionals in a compassionate and person‑focused manner
