Job description

Role Overview

You will work as head of the team in St Pauls Academy Warton providing high quality, healthy, balanced meals for school children. Cook and serve food and beverages in accordance with agreed menus and production plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and/or supervise other employees.
• Order supplies and store deliveries.
• Maintain records and stock control.
• Maintain agreed standards and associated documentation in relation to food and kitchen hygiene.
• Conduct LCC catering inductions to new members of catering teams.

Requirements

• Experience of large-scale catering.
• Excellent customer services experience essential.
• Knowledge of food service and supervisory skills.
• Recognized supervisor or team leader qualification would be desirable.
• A good handle on up-to-date allergen laws.
• Flexibility with start and finish times to support different unit services.

Salary & Hours

Salary £25,185 - £25,989 per annum | 23.75 hours per week | Permanent, Part time | St Pauls Academy | Warton, Lancashire, Monday to Friday

Term time only. Pay is pro rata so advertised wage is for full time equivalent. 23.75 hours per week, equaling 4.75hrs per day although hours are variable depending upon school meal uptake.
