A leading insurance provider in Lancaster is seeking an Underwriter to join their Small Business Team. The role involves providing excellent customer service, underwriting new business, and building strong internal and external relationships. Ideal candidates will have strong analytical skills and a passion for personal development. This is an exciting opportunity to join our successful Small Business Team. This opportunity is ideal for either a new entrant or those with experience in the insurance industry who are keen to gain and develop their technical expertise. You will contribute towards the delivery of KPIs across your team, underwriting business and building strong relationships with both internal and external customers. The quality of our Underwriters is pivotal to Allianz’s success, so you’ll need to use your strong analytical and communication skills, as well as technical knowledge to influence our brokers and develop strong trading relationships. This is a hybrid role and after the initial induction period will involve working from home combined with a minimum of 2 days per week in our Lancaster office.
Starting at £24,500 per annum, with potential for negotiation based on relevant industry experience. Salary is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package.
