Caprae Capital Partners — Undergrad Private Equity Research Analyst Program (10 hrs / week - Paid Program)

Caprae Capital Partners is a private equity and acquisitions platform led by Kevin Hong - a serial founder who scaled two tech ventures to $31M ARR and $7M revenue. Today, Caprae is one of the fastest-scaling platforms in lower-middle-market M&A and ETA ecosystem, combining an international research engine, a full-stack deal sourcing arm, and a rapidly expanding tech layer.

YTD, Caprae's services divisions have completed $50M worth of transaction value and is expected to exceed $100M in Q1 of 2026 after launching in January of 2025. We’re looking for Outside the Box Thinking Research Analysts who want to build the next era of private equity.

Public Markets Exposure
  • Learn how Caprae evaluates equities, sectors, and macro conditions
  • Apply Caprae’s internal investment model to trading and public market research
  • Understand how macro signals influence M&A and private market theses
  • Develop hedge-fund style research skills focused on fundamentals and sector rotation
Private Markets (M&A, Search Funds, Buy-Side and Sell-Side)
  • Identify acquisition verticals and evaluate market attractiveness
  • Conduct research on profitability, growth trends, fragmentation, and competitive dynamics
  • Engage directly with founders and executives in sourcing conversations
  • Analyze acquisition opportunities and support live deal processes
  • Work with proprietary ETA datasets from approximately 100 searchers
Market Intelligence and Investment Research
  • Build theses around industry growth, market structure, profitability, and defensibility
  • Evaluate competitive landscapes and identify roll-up opportunities
  • Analyze business model strength, moats, retention dynamics, and long-term resilience
  • Conduct case studies on search funds and review broken deals to understand why LOIs fail
  • Contribute to white-labeled research products used by M&A banks and investment firms
  • Support internal newsletters and knowledge briefs
  • Develop customized outreach strategies based on founder psychology, industry dynamics, and

  • Construct email campaigns with company-specific messaging grounded in moat and thesis research
Sourcing and Founder Engagement
  • Identify companies that fit Caprae’s investment criteria
  • Speak directly with business owners to secure introductory calls
  • Support relationships between Caprae, searchers, and target founders
  • Work on both domestic and international mandates; more than 15 percent of Caprae’s client base is outside the United States
Growth Trajectory
  • Caprae grew more than 20 percent month-over-month throughout 2025
  • Targeting 30 percent month-over-month growth moving forward
  • Planning to invest in 10 searchers in 2026
  • Supporting 35 to 50 active searchers at any given time across the U.S. and abroad
