Job Overview

We are looking for a patient and experienced SEN Tutor to support KS3/KS4 learners by delivering Functional Skills as well as core English and Maths, while also helping them successfully reintegrate into educational settings.

Session Focus
  • Reinforcing learning and building confidence in core subjects/ functional skills.
  • Providing structured, engaging activities tailored to the student's needs.
  • Supporting emotional regulation and motivation in a calm, positive environment.

We have multiple opportunities available for experienced SEN tutors in the Havant district to support a range of students across the secondary school curriculum.

Student Profile Example
  • History of speech articulation and language difficulties.
  • Challenges with emotional and behavioural regulation and low self-esteem.
  • Diagnosed with Autism, Consistent Speech Sound Disorder, hyper‑mobility in fingers, and cerebral palsy.
  • Polite, well‑mannered, and engaging, but may refuse tasks when upset or frustrated.
Ideal Candidate
  • Experience working with ASD and complex SEND needs.
  • Ability to adapt teaching strategies to support speech, language, and emotional regulation.
  • Patient, creative, and resilient approach to learning.
