Job description
Main duties of the job
  • Provide Registrar level day to day care for General Adult Mental Health patients, together with ward rounds with the consultants
  • Attend Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team (CRHTT) clinics
  • Provide day to day clinical supervision of junior doctors in CRHTT
  • Participation in MDT meetings
  • Teaching experience through the junior doctor induction and education programme, journal club, and opportunities to teach on MRCP programmes within the Trust
  • Audit and Clinical Governance
  • Undergo regular appraisal throughout the post
  • Attend Trust educational and departmental meetings
  • Demonstrate awareness of national and local guidelines relating to specialty (e.g. NICE guidelines) and influence care developments in accordance with these
  • Identify, contribute to or lead on aspects in the development and dissemination of evidence‑based guidelines, standards and protocols as required and implement change to improve the quality of patient care
  • Attend local, regional and national networks/meetings
  • Present at seminars, conferences and meetings
