Overview

Citizens Advice Southampton is part of a network of independent local Citizens Advice charities dedicated to providing confidential advice online, over the phone, and in person, for free. The organization works in collaboration with local advice charities as part of Advice in Southampton to ensure everyone has access to the right advice. Citizens Advice Southampton is independent, impartial, and advocates for clients to improve their situations.

This is a volunteer role for a Treasurer at Citizens Advice Southampton. The Treasurer will be responsible for overseeing the organization's finances, budgets, financial records, and financial reporting. The role requires attendance at Board and Finance Sub-Committee meetings 6 - 8 times per year. The Charity has a Finance Manager responsible for day to day activities and a part-time accountant who prepares monthly reports, annual accounts and budget preparation.

We offer the opportunity for experience at Board level the role of a Finance Director in a small but dynamic charity providing much needed advice to the citizens of Southampton. You will as a director of Citizens Advice Southampton also be engaged in policy decisions and oversight of our operations.
