Job summary

A domestic abuse charity seeks an Independent Domestic Violence Advocate in Hampshire to support children and families affected by domestic abuse. This role focuses on delivering trauma-informed outreach, providing advocacy, and ensuring safety planning while collaborating closely with various stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have experience working with vulnerable populations and possess strong safeguarding knowledge. A flexible schedule is required, including participation in an on-call rota.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children, young people and adults who are vulnerable or at risk.
• Ability to manage a caseload and build trusting relationships with families.
• Confidence in delivering both one-to-one and group interventions.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and group-based support to children and young people.
• Deliver safety planning and advocacy within refuge and community settings.
• Maintain accurate, confidential case records and contribute to service monitoring.
