Position : Transport Planner

Location : Stretford, Manchester

Salary : Circa £30,000

Overview

Our client a leading logistics company is looking for a Transport Planner to join their Manchester depot. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone starting out in logistics or looking to develop their career within a busy and dynamic distribution environment.

Role Responsibilities
  • Organise and plan collections and deliveries, optimising vehicle and driver schedules to meet operational targets.
  • Schedule vehicles for maintenance and ensure compliance with company service standards.
  • Monitor drivers' progress to ensure timely completion of collections and deliveries.
  • Support drivers in resolving on-road issues and liaise with customers when necessary.
  • Maintain compliance with all transport legislation and Working Time Directive regulations.
  • Assist with administrative tasks including order entry, data management, and reporting.
Requirements
