Overview

Transport Operations & Compliance Support

Menzies Distribution Solutions are looking for an experienced Operations & Compliance Support to join our team based in Wakefield. Reporting to the Operations Manager you will provide full support to the Transport Team with regards to all transport & compliance administration. Having previous transport related administration, transport operations and compliance experience gained within a fast-paced distribution environment is desirable, the ideal candidate would be flexible and competent in deputizing for the Transport Supervisor in their absence.

  • Salary: £29,000.00 Per Annum/ £13.28 Per Hour
  • Shift Pattern: 4 On/4 Off Days
  • Hours: 06:00-18:00

Key Duties and Accountabilities
  • Support front of house driver management – pre brief/de brief/Handing out keys/paperwork
  • Support supervisors with Track & Trace of fleet
  • Support Supervisors with any ESP compliance issues
  • Support Supervisors with monitoring Haulage Hub portal
  • Support Transport Compliance with any admin tasks related to the fleet & drivers – Capturing drivers at start or finish of shift for any infringements/briefs etc. OSS Trailer input, Convey & Key2 Admin
  • Ensure all internal/external customer queries or concerns are dealt with in a professional, friendly and courteous manner.
  • Ensure all inbound/outbound paperwork (PODS) is completed promptly and accurately – Inmotion management through Track & Trace
  • Undertake administrative and filing duties to meet the needs of the Transport Department.
  • Supporting customer and supplier enquiries and complaints from investigation through to closure.
  • Enter accurate data on to all internal systems and reports – Verify/ESP/Key 2
  • Maintain data security and integrity in line with business needs.
  • Provide step up cover for Transport Supervisor in their absence
  • Dealing with any POD queries from any customer contract
  • Maintain a safe working environment that complies with all aspects of the company’s H&S Policy
Key Experience and Qualifications
  • Excellent computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Word & Excel)
  • Previous Transport administration/Operations/Compliance experience.
  • Good numeric skills – including accuracy.
Technical skills and behavioral competencies
  • Well developed verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and numeracy skills
  • Good level of financial understanding
