Overview

Transport Manager – Location: Lutterworth • Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum • Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off, 8am - 8pm

We are seeking an experienced Transport Manager to join our busy operation in Lutterworth. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong leadership and compliance skills to take ownership of transport operations in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily transport operation, ensuring compliance with all legal and company requirements.
• Manage drivers and support staff, providing leadership, motivation, and performance management.
• Ensure full adherence to O Licence undertakings, drivers' hours, and Working Time Directive.
• Maintain vehicle service schedules, defect reporting, and compliance records.
• Drive continuous improvement in efficiency, safety, and service delivery.
• Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve operational issues.
• Produce and analyse transport KPIs and reports.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Transport Manager (CPC qualified essential).
• Strong knowledge of transport legislation and compliance.
• Proven ability to manage and develop a team in a busy operation.
• Excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills.
• IT literate with good knowledge of transport systems.
