Overview

Transport Coordinator – Location: Wednesbury (WS10). Hours: Full-time | Contract: Permanent | Salary: £35,000 – £37,000 per annum (depending on experience).

Are you a logistics professional with a passion for precision, leadership, and continuous improvement? We’re looking for a Transport Coordinator to join our dynamic team and help drive operational excellence across our transport network.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • As our Transport Coordinator, you’ll be the key link between our drivers, warehouse, and clients—ensuring every delivery is executed smoothly and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Driver Briefing & Support: Clearly communicate workloads, provide accurate documentation, and resolve delivery issues swiftly.
  • Fleet & Equipment Management: Oversee vehicle maintenance, defect reporting, and compliance with VOSA standards.
  • Health & Safety Leadership: Enforce site safety policies, issue PPE, and ensure all drivers follow regulations.
  • Security Oversight: Implement and monitor strict security procedures, including spot checks and trailer PIN lock installations.
  • Admin & Communication: Manage PODs, liaise with return load companies, and investigate missing or damaged goods.
  • Personal Development: Continuously improve your skills and knowledge to enhance your role and team performance.
