Overview

Trainee Wholesale Plants Production Operative - No Experience Needed

Location: Knaresborough (own transport required due to rural location). Pay Rate: £13.50 per hour, increasing wage after 12 weeks to reflect training achievements. Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm.

Swift Temps Ltd is recruiting Trainee Production Operatives on behalf of our client, one of the UK's leading specialist plant growers and importers. This is an ideal first job opportunity — you don't need experience, qualifications, or previous knowledge. Full training will be provided from day one. You'll work as part of a friendly team, learning practical skills while working with plants in glasshouses, polytunnels, and outdoor growing areas.

What You'll Learn on the Job
  • Plant and care for young plants
  • Use basic potting and transplanting equipment
  • Prepare hanging baskets
  • Pack, label, and prepare orders for customers
  • Move plants safely around the site using trolleys
  • Keep work areas clean, tidy, and organised

No task is done alone — you'll be shown exactly what to do and supported as you learn.
