Overview

Trainee Teaching Assistant – Folkestone. £88- £110 (Per day). September 2025 – July 2026. A primary school in Folkestone requires a Trainee Teaching Assistant to work full-time with key stage 1. This role is classroom-based and offers the opportunity to learn and enhance teaching support skills while working with children of varying abilities.

The Trainee Teaching Assistant will support the class with additional learning needs and assist with the students’ academic, social, and emotional development.

Responsibilities
  • Work in a classroom with Key Stage 1 pupils.
  • Support students with additional learning needs.
  • Assist the teaching staff with academic, social, and emotional development.
Requirements
  • Confidence in working with children.
  • Passion for the progress of primary school pupils.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Willingness to pay for a DBS and update service.
