Job description

A Prestigious Specialist Litigation Solicitors are seeking a Litigation Paralegal who they will train over time. You will join a forward-thinking organization with a diverse workforce, focusing on high-quality litigation cases including (but not limited to):

Types of Litigation Cases
  • Property Litigation
  • Commercial Litigation
  • Construction Disputes
  • Employment
  • Debt Recovery

As a Litigation Paralegal, you will initially support senior solicitors and partners with this caseload, before being trained to handle your own files under supervision. You will receive market-leading training and input to reach your full potential. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. File opening and closing
  2. Providing quotes to prospective clients
  3. Carrying out client checks (e.g., AML, ID)
  4. Attending client meetings
  5. Scanning, filing, and preparing bundles
  6. Drafting work
  7. Conducting legal research and due diligence
  8. Being the first point of contact for client inquiries

The ideal candidate will have the following background, skills, or interests:

  • Recent graduate with strong academics (at least 2:1, ideally 1st Class; A-Levels at A/A*)
  • Ideally started SQE
  • Genuine interest in Commercial Litigation/Dispute Resolution
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid IT skills, embracing modern technology
  • Strong links to the Brighton/Sussex area
