Juice Recruitment are currently recuriting for an established and growing organisation is currently seeking a Trainee Accountant to join its finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual who is looking to develop a career within finance and accounting, while studying towards a professional qualification.

Day to day
  • Assist in the production of monthly management accounts
  • Support month-end close activities, including accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Analyse financial data to support budget holders and business decision-making
  • Build effective working relationships with key stakeholders, providing ad hoc analysis and reporting
  • Assist with external reporting for government and compliance requirements
  • Provide operational finance support where required, including stocktakes and reconciliations
  • Support finance process improvements and system development
  • Assist with Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger activities, including invoice processing and account reconciliations
  • Investigate and resolve ledger discrepancies
  • Support the preparation and distribution of customer and supplier price lists
  • Provide cover for colleagues during periods of leave
  • Act as an on-site point of contact for external IT providers and develop into a key user of finance systems
We are looking for
  • Keen to study towards a professional accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent)
  • 1-2 years experience within a accounts assistant setting
  • Strong Excel skills with the ability to analyse and manipulate data
  • Previous experience using an ERP system would be advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn
  • A strong team player with a positive and flexible approach
