Role Overview

This entry-level position within the TP ICAP Finance team on a rotational program. You will gain wide experience across multiple global processes and group consolidated reporting. While this is not an official graduate scheme, it closely resembles one and aims to support you in exploring long-term career opportunities and gaining a recognised professional accountancy qualification.

The role will work closely with wider Finance team, Global Process Owners, Regional and Divisional finance teams. The pooled structure will allow the Trainee Accountant to develop a broad skillset, respond dynamically to business needs, and gain exposure to the complexities of the financial services industry and FTSE 250 reporting requirements.

Role Responsibilities
  • Liaison with Global Process Owners (GPO) to ensure a timely and accurate close across 27 countries.
  • Preparation of individual notes to the Group's consolidated year end and half year accounts under IFRS and associated analysis.
  • Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure integrity and appropriate understanding / analysis of business unit submissions and overall consolidated results.
  • Preparation of monthly consolidated Balance Sheet and Cash Flow, along with process reporting to show both what the results are and how we know if they accurate and not misstated.
  • Liaison with other Group functions (Tax, Legal, Company Secretarial, Treasury and Compliance) to ensure that supporting analysis is prepared in a timely manner and delivered to fulfil the Group's reporting requirements.
  • Liaison with the external audit teams.
  • Support of the annual budgeting and planning processes including working with the Group FP&A team to prepare quality forward looking consolidated reports.
  • Support of the systems strategy, exploring the functionality inherent in the consolidation tools and building controls and reporting in line with best practice.
  • Developing and implementing best practice end to end processes with input and guidance from GPO's.
  • Support for the wider team's delivery requirements including ad hoc project work as required.
