Job description
Overview

Susquehanna is a global quantitative trading firm powered by scientific rigor, curiosity, and innovation. Our culture is intellectually driven and highly collaborative, bringing together researchers, engineers, and traders to design and deploy impactful strategies in our systematic trading environment. To meet the unique challenges of global markets, Susquehanna applies machine learning and advanced quantitative research to vast datasets in order to uncover actionable insights and build effective strategies. By uniting deep market expertise with cutting‑edge technology, we excel in solving complex problems and pushing boundaries together.

Our 2026 Trading Operations Analyst Programme (OA) is a 6‑month rotational programme for soon‑to‑be and recent graduates. This programme provides a blend of education, skill building, and exposure to Susquehanna and the financial services industry. It will prepare you for a full‑time position that immediately impacts Susquehanna’s business. Through 4‑week rotations you will have the opportunity to gain exposure to every desk within Trading Operations such as Trade Support, Risk Operations, Stock Loan and Settlements. Once the programme is complete, you will be placed on a fast‑paced desk that directly impacts Susquehanna's performance.

This role is based in the UK; however, the first three months of the programme (September to December 2026) will take place in our Dublin office as part of an immersive graduate training experience. During this time, you will join peers from across Europe for in‑depth learning and hands‑on development before returning to the UK to complete the programme. You will have the necessary support to make this transition smooth and focused on your learning and development.

Our Programme:

As a Trading Operations Analyst you will be exposed to the full life cycle of Susquehanna’s trading activity and develop a fundamental understanding of the industry and trading environment which Susquehanna operates in. Trading Operations work at the intersection of trading, technology, and external counterparties, where you are empowered to develop strong relationships and work on exciting, valuable projects which have real impact and contribute to our success. Working alongside our team you will develop an in‑depth exposure to all the different trading desks and business areas at Susquehanna with each rotation incorporating hands‑on experience and real‑time projects to add value.

If you have a keen interest in the financial markets, collaborating with traders while up‑skilling technically then Trading Operations could be the role for you.

What we’re looking for
  • Problem Solver: You enjoy solving puzzles and love when you discover a solution to difficult problems. You’re not afraid to discuss ideas and work with others to find the optimal solution.
  • Communicator: You enjoy building relationships with those you work closely with. You enjoy sharing ideas, expressing your thoughts and listening to the views of others.
  • Ambitious: You constantly set yourself goals in life and give your all to achieve them. Be it in Arts, Sports, Academics or another passion you have, you’re not afraid to put in the effort to reach your full potential.
  • Numerical & Logical: When it comes to decision making, you use clear and sound reasoning. You’re rational and like to use numbers and data to come up with sensible solutions.
  • Curious: You’re eager to find out more about what it’s like to work in the Finance sector, and specifically Trading Operations. Have a passion and identifiable interest in the financial markets and current affairs.
  • Soon‑to‑be or recent graduate: Our programme starts in early September 2026.
What's in it for you:
  • Education: Susquehanna’s in‑house education programme is widely recognised as being the best in the industry. You will attend regular seminars to learn about in‑house business, products, and tech (Excel, SQL, Python etc.).
  • Support: You will be assigned a mentor from our trading operations team for each of your rotations. You will also be assigned a buddy who was a previous OA to guide you along the way.
  • Real Impact: You will work collaboratively with the technology team and traders on your desk to develop trade ideas and provide real‑time opinions throughout the trading day. You will collaborate on daily tasks and improvements which are key to the ongoing success of the business.
  • Culture: Our culture allows employees of every level to thrive. We are not your typical trading firm – the environment is casual, collaborative and we focus on continuous development, no matter how long you’ve been in Susquehanna.
