We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Trade Counter Assistant to join a fast-paced and growing business within the construction supplies sector. In this role, you will be working across both the Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth branches, supporting the team in providing a first-class trade counter experience. From serving customers and advising on products, to maintaining stock levels and ensuring the counter is always presentable, you\'ll play a key part in driving sales and delivering outstanding service.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers quickly and professionally, offering advice and guidance on products
• Upsell and cross-sell to maximise turnover
• Accurately enter all transactions into the system
• Restock and maintain the trade counter area, ensuring a clean and organised environment
• Support wider team tasks when required, such as answering calls or assisting with picking and packing

Requirements

• A people person with strong communication skills and the ability to stay professional under pressure
• Positive, hard-working, and solutions-minded, with a strong team ethic
• Physically fit and able to handle heavy loads
• Confident IT user with good attention to detail
• Previous experience in the construction sector or knowledge of materials/products is desirable (training will be provided)
