Qualifications

Overview

We have an excellent opportunity to secure a contract within one of London's most vibrant Boroughs for development work. The department is large and employs a high volume of contractors who are given opportunities to handle their own caseload, lead on certain projects and work as part of multidisciplinary teams to broaden experience and develop management knowledge.

Responsibilities
  • Lead on smaller major applications and pre-applications.
  • Discharge of conditions and legal obligations for some of the Borough's largest schemes.
  • Effectively handle enquiries from the public, developers, potential developers, other authorities, Council Members and external stakeholders.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Recent experience within a local authority development management team is ideal; consultancy experience is also welcome.
  • Strong grasp of UK planning legislation.
  • Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards gaining more technical experience.
  • Relevant town planning degree is required.
Contract Details
  • Location: South East London.
  • Pay: £45/hr umbrella.
  • IR35 status: inside IR35.
  • Duration: initially running until the end of March 2026 with potential for extension.
  • Working arrangement: hybrid — office-based twice a week.
