Toolmaker / Manual Machinist

Location: Lisburn, County Antrim
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £35,000 - £42,000

A growing, well-established precision engineering and aerospace manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Toolmaker / Manual Machinist to join its expanding team. With a strong order book and a global customer base, this is a stable, long-term opportunity for a skilled machinist looking to work in a high-quality engineering environment.

The Role
  • Manual machining including turning, milling, and grinding
  • Manufacture and modification of precision tooling components
  • Working with lathes, milling machines, grinders, and hand tools
  • Using precision measuring equipment to ensure accuracy and quality
  • Reading and working from detailed technical drawings
  • Maintaining a clean and organised work bay
  • Working independently with minimal supervision
What We're Looking For
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a manual machining or toolmaking role
  • Strong experience in turning, milling, and grinding
  • Ability to read and interpret technical/engineering drawings
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Background in a precision engineering or aerospace environment (advantageous)
Location & Working Hours
  • Lisburn-based role, with occasional travel opportunities
  • 40-hour basic working week
  • Flexible working week available
  • Overtime paid at premium rates
