Overview

Starting in January 2026, a wonderful three day nanny role is becoming available in Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire. This friendly and professional family is looking for a patient, kind, nurturing, fun and reliable nanny who can stay long term and become part of their happy family. They live a short walk from the town, so a driver is not essential.

Responsibilities

• Take care of one delightful baby boy, aged 14 months.
• Work hours: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, 09:00-18:30 (28.5 hours/week). There may also be some ad hoc days and babysitting, with any additional hours mutually agreed and paid as overtime.
• Provide stimulating and educational indoor activities (reading, singing, jigsaws, crafts, imaginative play) and plenty of outdoor play and walks to the park.
• Support attendance at educational and social groups and activities (music group, library, etc.) to promote social interaction in a safe environment.
• Nursery duties only, as the family already has a weekly cleaner, with occasional light housekeeping to keep the home running smoothly (e.g., emptying the dishwasher, vacuuming, tidying rooms).
• Care of the baby and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen, bedroom and playroom; manage the baby’s laundry; assist with meal times (mum will prepare food to be served to the baby).
• Knowledge of weaning and potty training is essential.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Childcare qualification preferred, but essential experience.
• Driving not essential, but if you drive you must have a fully insured car and clean licence; duty mileage paid. If not driving, walking locally is preferred.

• Job Start Date: January 2026.
• Pay: £26,676 gross per annum with mutually agreed overtime paid at £18 gross per hour.
• Permanent position.
