About the Role

We are a specialist provider of education and care for children and young people with special educational needs, committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.

Location: Grange‑over‑Sands, England. Salary: £43,453 – £52,493 (Full time). Excellent benefits included.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic support to children and young people in Oversands School and a local children’s home.
• Assess mental health, recommend interventions and develop personalised care plans.
• Offer individualised interventions and engagement based on clinical assessment and formulation.
• Build rapport to provide effective counselling and give feedback on progress.
• Work with educational and residential colleagues to create therapeutic living and learning environments.
• Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary clinical team to support pupils with complex needs, developmental trauma, neuro‑developmental conditions and special educational needs.

Qualifications & Attributes

• BACP membership or a similar professional body; additional mental health or therapeutic intervention qualifications desirable.
• Knowledge of child development and experience connecting with young people.
• Highly organised, ready to take initiative.
• Strong empathy and honesty.
