Theatre Admission and Discharge Nurse/Practitioner RN/ODP Band 5

The Queen Victoria Hospital Admissions and Discharge team pride ourselves on being part of a supportive multidisciplinary team with a long history of excellence. A passionate approach to patient-centred care is essential to managing our busy admission and discharge areas. The admissions and discharge area is part of a complex dynamic perioperative suite managing a number of different specialties in major to minor reconstructive surgery.

Responsibilities

• Main duties are to offer a high standard of 1:1 care to our pre and post operative patients.
• The post holder will work as part of a team to provide a safe, cost effective, efficient care environment for patients, relatives and carers.
• They will participate in the training of junior staff and continue their own personal and professional development by rotating within the perioperative department.
