This is a fantastic opportunity to work at the heart of R&D, supporting engineers on cutting‑edge new product development projects. Reporting to the Prototype & Validation Manager, you’ll play a key role in bringing ideas to life through testing, validation, and collaboration.

Principle Accountabilities

• Collaborate with Development Engineers on new technology initiatives, product development, and ongoing engineering projects.
• Assemble, disassemble, and test prototypes and in‑market products, generating and analysing test data to support R&D activities.
• Operate, maintain, and calibrate test equipment, ensuring workshop tools, consumables, and facilities are kept to high standards.
• Produce jigs, fixtures, and test setups to support prototype assembly, testing, and sample preparation across various facilities.
• Maintain health and safety standards, follow good working practices, and comply with all safety, ethics and quality procedures.
• Support documentation processes including SOPs, test reports, and internal training requirements.

Skills and Experience Required

• Completed A‑Levels or equivalent qualification (e.g. BTEC) in an engineering‑related subject
• Proficient in the use of general hand tools and equipment
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Highly computer literate with excellent command of the English language
• Experienced in product testing and accurate data recording
• Effective team player with a focus on meeting project deadlines and driving continuous improvement
