Territory Business Manager – Farm Animal Health (Ruminants)

South East England | Field-based

Salary: up to £46,000

Car Allowance: £590 per month

Contract: Full-time, permanent

The Opportunity

An established animal health organisation is looking to appoint an experienced Territory Business Manager to take ownership of a defined South East territory within the ruminant sector. This is a commercially focused, field‑based role suited to someone who enjoys building long‑term relationships, driving territory growth, and working closely with vets, agricultural merchants, and farm customers.

You will act as the commercial lead for your territory, managing strategic accounts, identifying growth opportunities, and delivering value‑led sales solutions aligned to customer needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Full ownership of a defined territory, developing and executing commercial plans aligned to regional and national objectives
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vets, farmers, agricultural merchants, and key influencers
  • Lead strategic account planning, setting performance objectives, financial targets, and milestones
  • Drive sales performance through structured planning, execution, and tracking against agreed KPIs
  • Analyse real‑world data (e.g. herd performance, disease trends, milk data) to generate insights and influence customer decision‑making
  • Deliver engaging in‑house product training and CPD sessions to customers
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with internal commercial, technical, and marketing teams
  • Effectively manage stockholding and ordering to align with seasonal demand and minimise write‑offs
  • Act as a conduit between customers and internal teams, feeding back market insights, product performance, and opportunities
  • Maintain accurate reporting and CRM activity in line with business expectations
Candidate Profile
  • Degree educated (agriculture, animal science, life sciences, veterinary science, or business preferred)
  • Proven sales experience within animal health, agriculture, or a closely related sector
  • Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering results
  • Confident relationship builder, comfortable engaging at all levels from farm to boardroom
  • Able to interpret data and translate insights into practical, value‑driven solutions
  • Self‑motivated, organised, and comfortable managing a large geographical territory
  • Strong communication skills, both face‑to‑face and virtual
  • Full UK driving licence
Additional Information
  • Field‑based role with approximately 75% time in the territory
  • Regular travel across the South East, including occasional overnight stays
  • Candidates should ideally be centrally located within the territory
