Overview

We are seeking to appoint an experienced Temporary Technician for our Art Courses. The focus of the role is to work in partnership with Art teachers in the day to day running of a busy teaching space and to support practical workshops. The successful candidate will be able to offer guidance and some supervision to students in the making of 2D and 3D projects. As technician, you will also be in charge of the maintenance of equipment and ordering of materials. For this position you will be partly based within our Foundation Arts Studio which is located at the Trust Headquarters in Normanton, and partly based at the main site in Pontefract. You will need special knowledge in a range of Art and Design equipment, with the ability to maintain equipment, excellent personal and organisational skills, and the ability to communicate with students and staff at all levels.

Responsibilities
  • Work in partnership with Art teachers to support the day-to-day running of a busy teaching space and assist with practical workshops.
  • Offer guidance and some supervision to students in the making of 2D and 3D projects.
  • Maintain Art and Design equipment and manage ordering of materials.
  • Operate across two sites: Foundation Arts Studio (Trust Headquarters, Normanton) and the main site (Pontefract).
