Overview

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Technical Superintendent to join our client in Bulgaria.


As a Technical Superintendent you will look after the technical performance of our clients’ vessels and will report to the Technical Manager. You will ensure the company’s vessels are operated in compliance with international/local regulations and company SMS.


This is an exciting role with opportunity to join a friendly, fast growing, energetic team of highly skilled, experienced maritime professionals passionate about shipping.



The Successful Applicant


  • Previous experience in a similar role.

  • Experience working with Bulk Carriers.

  • Educational qualification i.e. Degree in Mechanical/Marine Engineering or Naval Architecture.

  • Bilingual spoken and written English/Bulgarian.

  • Good computer skills including use of MS Office.

  • Strong analytical thinking paired with clear, effective communication.



Job Description


  • Ensure all technical and operational safety standards are always followed and coordinate with various departments within the business to achieve same.

  • Monitor fuel consumption and vessel performance data.

  • Compile and monitor budgets.

  • Manage relationships with key suppliers.

  • Monitor and plan for vessel surveys.

  • Ensure the technical reliability and efficient maintenance of assigned vessels by coordinating repairs, managing resources, and supporting crews and engineers.

  • Stakeholder relationship management.

  • Planning and arranging dry docking.

  • Ensures day to day support and advisory with respect to technical requirements of the vessels.
