At Austin Heating & Cooling we've been building trusted relationships and delivering high-quality commercial heating solutions for decades. Now, we're looking for a skilled and motivated Technical Sales & Project Engineer to help drive the next stage of our growth within Norfolk and Suffolk and the wider area.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Branch Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting our sales and management teams to deliver on our development strategy. You'll act as our technical sales presence in the region - generating new business, designing commercial heating systems, nurturing existing client relationships, and ensuring projects run smoothly from enquiry to completion.

Your day-to-day work will include:

  • Developing new and existing business sales opportunities across installation, service, and maintenance agreements
  • Building strong customer relationships, advising on system design, and selecting the right equipment for their needs
  • Managing the full project lifecycle – from initial enquiry, through thorough design stages, to final handover
  • Coordinating with engineers, sub-contractors, and colleagues to ensure efficient, high-quality delivery
  • Monitoring quality, profitability, and customer satisfaction at every stage
What We're Looking For
  • Hands‑on experience in commercial gas and heating disciplines holding relevant tickets
  • Experience in a technical sales role or similar position within the sector
  • A flexible, self‑motivated approach and a genuine passion for customer satisfaction
  • Proven sales and project management experience
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusted business relationships at all levels
  • Excellent technical knowledge of Natural Gas, LPG, Oil and Renewables
  • Competent IT skills (Mac and PC – Word, Excel); CAD experience is a bonus
  • A solid understanding of Health & Safety within the construction industry
  • Strong time management and multitasking abilities
  • A full, clean UK driving licence
