Shift - 4on 4off, days and nights rotating 7 am - 7 pm, 7 pm - 7 am

About the Role

Join Britvic's Rugby facility, the largest production site in the group, responsible for producing up to 65% of the company's volume. As a Technical Operator, you'll be part of a dynamic team producing Can, PET, and Aseptic products across Juices, Carbonates, and Sports Drinks categories, including major brands such as Pepsi, 7UP, Tango, Gatorade, and Fruit Shoot.

In this pivotal role, you'll operate sophisticated machinery to meet production targets while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. You'll work within a highly flexible, multi-skilled team environment where your technical expertise and commitment to excellence will directly contribute to the site's overall performance and success.

Role Responsibilities
  • Operate production equipment to achieve efficiency and performance targets while ensuring compliance with all Quality, Food Safety, and Health & Safety standards
  • Perform first-line maintenance, routine diagnostics, and lubrication schedules to maintain optimal plant efficiency
  • Execute plant/product changeovers efficiently within agreed timescales to maximize production uptime
  • Conduct required quality checks and accurately document results through established reporting procedures
  • Manage materials collection, usage tracking, and waste reconciliation for your operational area
  • Maintain exceptional standards of hygiene and housekeeping throughout all operational areas
  • Utilize business control systems such as SAP to manage product inventory and ensure traceability requirements
Experience and Key Attributes
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is essential
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, making appropriate decisions without supervision
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate across teams
  • Flexibility to work across multiple production areas and adapt to changing priorities
  • Basic educational qualifications with the capability to achieve NVQ Level II or equivalent
  • Comfort working with numbers and data to support production tracking and improvement
  • Positive attitude toward continuous improvement and skills development, both personally and for team members
