An educational institution in the UK is seeking an operational manager for their Creative Industries Support Team. The role involves providing management and leadership within technical service teams that support various media programs. We have an exciting opportunity to work within the Creative Industries Support Team at the University of Lancashire.
The post holder will play a crucial role providing operational management, support and leadership for a number of highly skilled technical service technician‑based teams. These teams support staff, students and the associated resources for Television and Radio Journalism, Film, Television and Sound Design Media and Acting and Musical Theatre Performance courses which are based in a variety of studios, theatres and equipment‑based resource facilities. The post holder will be responsible for the maintenance and development of these highly specified facilities and will assist the Technical Manager in providing strategic management for the wider Creative Industries Support Team service. The successful candidate will be primarily focussed on supporting undergraduate and postgraduate classes, research and income generation activities.
The successful candidate will be a naturally inquisitive, proactive team leader and will possess a wide range of service relevant technical skills and experience. They will have the ability to work independently and with initiative to set priorities and to work co‑operatively and collegiately within a diverse, multi‑skilled technical team. Applicants must also have excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience of carrying out risk assessments and other relevant Health & Safety processes and policies. An undergraduate degree or equivalent experiential learning is required for this role. Disability Confident.
