Technical Manager / Compliance Manager – Non factory environment · Trowbridge · £50-55k DOE · Site based

Manucomm Recruitment are looking to recruit a Technical Manager / Compliance Manager for a food broker that supplies food service customers. Operating from small and friendly open plan offices in Trowbridge, the successful candidate will work as part of the UK arm of a global group. Turnover circa £30M. The company does not manufacture foods but works closely with suppliers in Europe and further afield who are accredited with BRC or similar standards. The company works with mainly non-retail customers including leading food groups and is passionate about food with an excellent reputation within the food industry. The role has come about due to retirement and will involve managing two assistants.

Role and responsibilities

• As the Compliance Manager you will manage and develop technical documentation, such as product specifications, company technical procedures, and the supplier accreditation database.
• Complete customer technical questionnaires or queries regarding product information.
• Ensure compliance with customer requirements and relevant standards (e.g., HACCP, allergens, and ideally BRC).
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to maintain accurate technical data and quality systems.

Qualifications and requirements

• Food or Drink technical experience.
• Working knowledge of customer product specifications, packaging, technical information, HACCP, allergens; ideally with BRC standards. Environmental knowledge is helpful.
• Highly organised and analytical with strong IT skills; effective communicator.
