Qualifications

Overview

Technical Manager — Location: Greater Manchester • Job Type: Full-time

Responsibilities
  • Policy Implementation: Ensure all central Food Safety & Quality (FSAQ) policies and procedures are effectively implemented at the site level.
  • Operations Management: Oversee daily technical operations, maintaining compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Expert Guidance: Act as the subject matter expert for technical matters at the site, providing necessary guidance and support.
  • Incident Management: Lead the initial response to technical incidents, ensuring timely investigation, documentation, and corrective actions.
  • Audit Preparation: Maintain site readiness for internal and external audits, coordinating with central teams as needed.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and drive local improvement initiatives in alignment with central strategies.
  • Reporting: Regularly update site leadership and the central FSAQ team on progress and challenges.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Knowledge of relevant UK and EU legislation, BRC, and RSPO standards.
  • Proficient in HACCP (minimum Level 3).
