Job description

We’re looking for a Technical Business Systems Analyst focusing on Pricing, Exposure Management and Capital Modelling. You will be building relationships with the business, working closely with pricing actuaries and Exposure Management analysts to support the bespoke pricing and modelling catastrophe applications.

What You’ll Spend Your Time Doing

While there is rarely a ‘typical’ day within this role, here’s a snapshot of some of the key parts of the job:

  • Working closely with the business, in particular the Pricing actuaries & analysts and Exposure Management/catastrophe modellers.

  • Attend daily stand‑ups on projects and business as usual to track new development tasks, resolve application issues, user‑story refinement using tools such as ADO and TFS, documentation management and proposing solutions to the stakeholders on the analysis you have undertaken. Manage releases and work with the scrum master and change management.

  • Reporting into the product owner to understand the backlog and conflicting priorities.

  • Attention to detail, being able to context‑switch between projects and tasks is a very important part of the role. Projects and tasks are run on an Agile basis, where change and release can happen on a monthly basis.

What We Need From You

For this Player the role there are some important qualifications and experience we need you to have. These include:

  • Experience working in a technical role in the London Lloyds market specifically in Actuarial pricing

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology.

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills

  • Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools such as ADO.

  • Knowledge and good understanding of SQL, APIs, C#, VBA, R, Python and web development.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

  • Knowledge of insurance pricing, catastrophe, exposure management, and capital modelling products (Catastrophe Models, Igloo, SEQUEL Impact and AON Team).
