Are you ready to make your mark in the world of luxury automotive? Adecco, working in partnership with Bentley Motors, is looking for a Technical Author - Owner Handbooks to deliver world-class technical documentation for their prestigious brand.

Location: Crewe, UK

Contract Type: Temporary (until 26/06/2029)

Pay Rate: Competitive outside IR35

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days on-site)

About the Role

In this position, you will craft clear, engaging, and precise technical documentation that supports both customers and technicians around the globe. Your expertise will play a crucial role in the lifecycle of our clients remarkable vehicles, from developing Owner Handbooks.

Responsibilities

• Owner Handbooks: Develop and maintain Owner Handbooks aligned with new product launches and model year updates. Interpret technical data from Product Description Books (PDBs), Technical Product Descriptions (TPDs), and Engineering Change documentation and author new content. Ensure content is customer-friendly, brand-aligned, and technically accurate.
• Quality & Communication: Ensure documentation meets internal standards and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Product Planning, Legal, and Marketing. Support internal and external communications to promote Aftersales initiatives.

What We're Looking For

Skills & Experience

• Proven ability to write clear, concise technical documentation for diverse audiences.
• Proficient in digital platforms and content management systems.
• Experience in external publication and peer review processes preferred.

Knowledge Requirements

• Proficient in content management systems.
• Experience working with technical illustrations.
• Familiarity with automotive engineering and Aftersales practices.
• Understanding of Bentley product and retailer processes.
• Knowledge of VW Group systems and legislative requirements is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Strong content writing skills
• Qualification in English
• Good knowledge of content management systems with minimal training provided
• Ability to arrange moving images/text for documentation
