Location: Berkshire

Type: Permanent

Salary: £65,000 - £70,000 Per Annum (plus bonus and benefits)

Our client is a highly acquisitive PE-backed business based in central Reading, seeking to hire a Technical Accounting Manager. The role is suitable for a first or second move from practice, ideally for someone who is 18-36 months post-ACA/ACCA qualification. The position offers excellent visibility into all aspects of the Group’s technical accounting, acquisition due diligence, reporting, integration, and external and regulatory financial reporting.

Responsibilities:
  1. Completing the monthly and yearly consolidation process, statutory accounting, and other group reporting.
  2. Providing key data for corporation tax reporting.
  3. Leading the external audit process, including discussions with auditors and advisors, and resolving queries.
  4. Assisting with financial and tax due diligence on potential acquisitions.
  5. Reviewing completion accounts, determining final payments, and monitoring/forecasting contingent payments.
  6. Producing technical papers on complex or one-off accounting issues.
  7. Financial reporting to regulators for group entities.
  8. Assisting with integrating finance functions of acquired companies.
  9. Supporting company hive-ups and group structure simplification.
  10. Identifying and implementing process improvements within finance systems and controls.
  11. Maintaining the group accounting manual in line with new standards and requirements.

A salary of £65,000-£70,000 is offered, along with an 8% bonus and benefits.
