A local council in the UK is seeking strong leaders to oversee teams in children's social care, ensuring effective services and compliance with requirements. The role involves performance management, staff supervision, and building relationships with stakeholders. We are looking for strong and aspiring leaders to motivate, nurture and manage teams within children's social care to ensure we provide an effective service that makes a difference to children and young peoples' lives. You will manage performance and quality assurance alongside resources and budgets in collaboration with key stakeholders, ensuring your team meets statutory requirements for children affected by different circumstances. You will oversee professional and practice supervision (including reflective supervision), staff performance appraisals, and ensure effective assessment, risk management, and child protection and care planning. You will be involved in inspection preparation, assist the team in accessing resources across the council and partner agencies to promote positive outcomes for children, and develop productive relationships with peers, stakeholders and partners, including schools.
