Overview

Team Leader Environmental Health

Scale 7 (£45,091- £48,226) per annum

37 hours per week

The Environmental Health Services department are looking for a Team Leader to support the team in striving to put the customer at the heart of everything we do.

You will be working as part of a fast paced and focused team of dedicated professionals. The Team Leader Role is new to the department and will advise, give guidance, and provide day to day management of the Environmental Health functions carried out by officers within the Environmental Health Team. This includes but is not limited to; enviro-crime, environmental protection, public health, and housing.

This is a great opportunity to provide appropriate mentoring, support, and training for officers within the Environmental Health service.

Responsibilities
  • Advise and guide Environmental Health officers on day-to-day management of functions within Environmental Health Team.
  • Lead in areas including enviro-crime, environmental protection, public health, and housing.
  • Support mentoring, coaching, and training for officers within the service.
Qualifications
  • Excellent, detailed, technical knowledge of Environmental Health Legislation, procedures, and functions in a Local Authority (including nuisance, housing and envirocrime).
  • A professional qualification relevant to at least one work area of the role.
  • Be prepared to undergo a Basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. All offers are conditional upon satisfactory DBS results.
