Job summary

A leading educational trust in Ipswich is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support students' learning and development. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and patient, capable of building positive relationships with students. This permanent role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a vibrant educational environment in a secondary academy. Salary ranges from £16,585 to £17,115 per annum, and the position is term-time only, working 28.33 hours per week.

About you

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is self‑motivated, and has a passion for supporting teaching and learning by establishing supportive relationships with students, helping to raise their self‑esteem and develop a positive attitude to learning within a secondary Academy. You will relish the opportunity to work with young people in a vibrant and dynamic learning environment.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, patient and able to use their own initiative, to support students in the classroom to ensure that they are making progress academically, socially and emotionally. Previous experience in a relatable role within an educational establishment is desirable but not essential. This role requires a grade C/4 or equivalent in English and Maths.
