A local educational trust in Eye, Suffolk is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support learning for vulnerable pupils. The Link is a bespoke non-school Alternative Provision led by an experienced teacher and specialist staff. It has been developed with a solid foundation in evidence-based practice for children with SEMH. We focus on building children’s self-esteem and confidence and giving them the skills to succeed in the next step in their education journey. We do this through an integrated approach of structured opportunities and a natural learning environment. Children can develop and succeed in their passion as they participate in a wide range of activities including cooking, sewing, campfires, woodwork and many more.
The Consortium Trust demonstrates and implements safeguarding protocols in all aspects of their working practices and is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All successful applicants will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check, and this will include social media checks.
To support the lead member of staff responsible for teaching and learning on the day. Providing high-quality support, working collaboratively and independently with pupils who, at times, will exhibit complex behaviours. Support staff at The Link are expected to exemplify the Trust’s inclusive ethos and be an advocate for the most vulnerable pupils in our schools. Staff at The Link are responsible for light housekeeping duties.
