A leading education recruitment agency is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to support a Year 9 pupil with ADHD and dyslexia in Crawley. This full-time, temporary role includes providing personalized support in class and during community-based work experience. Qualifications

  • Experience working with children with special educational needs.
  • Ability to establish trust and manage classroom dynamics.
  • Enhanced DBS or willingness to apply necessary clearance.

Overview

1:1 Learning Support Assistant

Temporary until Christmas with likelihood to extend

Location: Crawley

Daily rate - 95 - 100 inclusive of holiday

Start: ASAP following registration and interview

We're looking for a dedicated LSA to support a Year 9 pupil with their learning. This is a full-time, term-time only learning support assistant role focused on building trust, re-engagement, and supporting learning both in and out of the classroom.

What you'll do
  • Provide 1:1 Teaching Assistant support for a pupil with ADHD & dyslexia
  • Support in class, in break out areas and with online learning and homework
  • Help the pupil integrate into the classroom and school with individualised timetable
  • Build confidence and positive relationships
  • Accompany to community-based work experience if needed
What we need
  • Experience with SEN (ADHD, dyslexia, SEMH)
  • Patient, resilient, and understanding approach
  • Strong communication & relationship-building skills
  • Enhanced DBS (or willing to apply)
