Job overview

Marylebone Boys' School is a free school academy which opened in September 2014. We have c600 boys in Years 7‑11 and 150 male and female students in our Sixth Form. In February 2026, we will form part of United Learning Trust.

We have c50% Pupil Premium students and are academically rigorous, with an emphasis on good behaviour, commitment to learning and outstanding teaching. Expectations are high for all students; those who need extra help are supported and expected to achieve their full potential.

We have two brand‑new air‑conditioned buildings in the heart of Paddington Basin, right opposite Paddington Station on the Bakerloo, Circle, District, Elizabeth and Hammersmith & City lines, plus GWR and Heathrow Express mainline services and bus routes 7, 16, 23, 27, 36, 46 and 205, so no need to worry about sitting in traffic jams every morning and evening.

The ideal candidate

We are seeking a Science specialist who also has the ability to teach A‑level Psychology. The role is suitable for early career teachers or those early in their teaching career wishing to gain experience of a different school context.

The ideal candidate would want to join a collaborative, innovative and vibrant team that works hard to make a difference to our boys, many of whom face material and social disadvantage. This role gives the appointed candidate a real chance to make a meaningful difference.
