Teacher of PE (Female) - Maternity Cover
Location: Derby
Start Date: November 2025
Contract: Maternity Cover (Full-Time)
Daily Rate: .57 (dependent on experience and pay scale)

Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated PE Teacher looking for a rewarding opportunity starting this November? Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a qualified Female Teacher of PE to cover a maternity leave in a welcoming secondary school in Derby.

This is an excellent chance for both experienced teachers and ECTs to make a real impact, delivering engaging PE lessons and inspiring pupils across KS3 and KS4 to enjoy sport, physical activity, and healthy lifestyles.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality PE lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Engage and motivate pupils, fostering enjoyment of sport, physical activity and healthy lifestyles
• Maintain excellent classroom and behaviour management to support learning
• Promote health, fitness, and teamwork within the school community
• Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
