A prestigious educational institution in Oxford is seeking a dynamic French teacher for maternity cover from April or September 2026. This role requires teaching from Year 9 to A-Level and IB Higher Level in a well-resourced department. Candidates should exhibit exceptional classroom ability and a passion for motivating students. Contract: Maternity Cover (up to one year) – from April or September 2026.
A dynamic classroom practitioner to teach French from Year 9 through to A‑Level and IB Higher Level in a well‑resourced and academically ambitious department. The ability to offer an additional language is desirable but not essential.
The department at St Edward's is a vibrant and forward‑thinking team of 13 full‑time teachers, passionate about inspiring pupils to embrace the joy and value of languages. French, German, and Spanish form the core curriculum, while Italian, Mandarin, and Russian are offered as extra‑curricular languages.
The deadline for applications is 12 Noon on Tuesday 6 January 2026. Interviews will take place at the School on Monday 12 January 2026.
