About the Role

This is an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated Teacher of Dance to join a forward-thinking and high-performing secondary academy in the Wakefield area, starting as soon as possible. • Design and implement a dynamic and ambitious Dance curriculum across KS3 and KS4.
• Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
• Choreograph and direct dance routines for school performances, showcases, and community events.
• Maintain high standards of positive discipline and behaviour in line with the school's ethos.
• Contribute to the wider performing arts extra-curricular programme, including clubs and rehearsals.
• Ensure a safe and stimulating learning environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues across the Performing Arts and wider school faculty.
• Track and intervene to ensure all students are motivated and achieving their full potential in Dance.
• Actively participate in continuous professional development (CPD) and faculty meetings.
